There waa fair competition at auction, and a'good clearance was effected, following are prices realised -.--Sheep: Small mixed lambi, 9s. Id. to 12s. 6d.; medium lambs, 13s. 4d. to 13s. 7d.; cull lambs, ss. to 7s. Bd.; woolly lambs, 15s. 4d.; mixed ago ewes, 18a.; four and five-year owes, 225. Id.; forward mixed two-tooths, 255. 9d.; Koinucy rams, 2gns. Cattle: Shorthorn-cross weaner heifers, £3 10s.; Holstein-cross weanerV steers, £3 10s.; Holstein-:ross weaner hciferß, £3 165.; empty cows, to £7 195.; fat cows, to £13 2s. 6d.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report:—At Eongotca on Wednesday we had a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. Sheep sold well, also ,fat and forward cows. Store cows and woanors were easy. Quotations:—Woolly lambs, 12s. 6d.; forward "b.f. lambs, 16s. 5d.; good mixed lambs, Iss. 10d., 17s. 2d., 17s. 3d.; forward ewes, 17s. 6d.. 205.; twotooth wethers, 255.
