FOOTBALLS FOR OUR SOLDIERS
Sir,—Will _ you kindly give 1110 a small space in your valuable paper for an appeal for some footballa for the dear boys at tlio front? Wheresoever the football is there will the New Zealandcrs be gathered together. In a very short time they will be unprocurable for lovo or money., Just imagine thoir feelings whon they find they cannot get another_ football. I have 6ent them three, which is all 1 can nfford. Anyone investing in a football'may bo sure he is putting his monoy in a safe bank, that pays big interest in the way of conscientious satisfaction, and in sending it to the Red Trianglo he will bo putting it in very safe hands. I also hope that the vendors will rise to the occasion, and show their patriotism by reverting to pre-war prices. lam afraid many of us hardly realise what those dear boys are doing and suffering for us while we are living here in the lap of luxury and comfort. So now, hoys, all together, mid send along somo footballs! —l am, etc., THOMAS LASKEY. 306 Tinakori Road, Wellington.
