SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY

A concert was given at the Sailors' Friend Society on Thursday by Mr. T. E. Jones, who was assisted by Miss K. Henderson, whoso well-known orchestra rendered some delightful items. 'L'ho performers, the whole of whom were encored, were the Mesdames Morgan and E. W. Gate, and the Misses Carter, Henderson, Peggy Jones, Dimock, and Miller, and Messrs. James Searle, E. W. Gate, Keaning, Marshall, Eraser, Dowles, Chappie, and Brown, The piano was lent by Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co. Mr. Moore, Missioner, presided, and in moving the vote or thanks said how much the seafarers owed to Mr. Jones and his family for their untiring efforts in the work'during the year.
