At the Ofcaki sale. on Tuesday Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having offered a, heavy yarding of both eheep and cattle. Competition for all classes of stock yarded was exceptionally ■good, and practically all lines changed hands under the .hammer at prices well ip to vendor's reserves, the prinicpal sales 'effeoted being as under:—Fat wethers, 34a. \Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their weekly sale at Levin yards on Tuesday, when they offered a heavy sarding of sheep, particularly lambs, and a medium entry of cattle. Business under the h,amraer was dull, and Bales of all classes of sheep were difficult to effect. ■Competition for cattle was fairly brisk, and most linee offered : changed hands at late ruling rates. Messrs. Wright, Stephenson, end 00., Ltd., roport having hold their sheep fair at Pahiatua, on Monday, when they offered a largo .yarding of sheep-before a good .attendance. . Althoughrthc bidding-was inclined to. sag. a clearance was effected, with the- exception of a pen of ewes, and one of lambs, at satisfactory prices.
