Ten members are to be clected by the following eight classes of electors: Two members by the members of the Education Boards in tlio North Island, aud two members by tho members of the Education Boards in the South Island; one .member by certificated, malo teachers of public schools in tho, North Island, and one member by certificated male teachers of public schools in tho South Island; one member by malo teachers in secondary and technical schools; one member by certificated women teachers of public schools in the North Island, and one member by certificated women teachors of public schools in the South Island; one member by the women . teachers of secondary and techulcal schools. The Conciliation Council sat yesterday, under the presidency of the Commissioner (Mr. W. Newton), to hear tho electrical workers' dispute. Tho union is asking for a new award covering Wellington and a radius of about 100 miles. Tho points in dispute are those relating to wages and general conditions. The assessors were as follow: —Employers, Messrs. J. Lonehan, F. Smith, and J. Mawtla; employers, Messrs. R. C. Robinson. Wells, and 0. Hokanson. Mr. W. A. Orenfell appeared as agent for the employers and Mr..Monteith as agent for tho union. :: After a partial hearing of the dispute the- council adjourned till to-morrow morning.
