Sauuders iDunediu), was passed by the .Council of the Congregational Union to-day: "Tliis council, having'had placed before it account or the co-operacing in social service in tho Otago "Congregational churches with the Presbyterian Church of that province, expresses its hearty appreciation of the action of the Presbyterians iu inviting such co-operation, strongly i'ecommeuds Coiigregationalists in other parts of the Dominion of New Zealand to enter on similar co-operation if opportunity offers, declares its willingness sympathetically to consider any proposals from the Presbyterian Church for yet closer co-operation in Christian work, and even expresses its hope that ever-increasing co-operation may eventually issue in such a practical federation as will make the ultimate union of the two historical churches both natural and easy, if such uniou is for the glory of God and tho extension of His kingdom. Thai; a copy of this resolution be sent to tho chairman of the Presbyterian Social Services Committee in ,Otago, and the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand."
