A BRAVE NEW ZEALANDER
'AWARDED THE ALBERT MEDAL. (Rec. March 10, 5.5 p.m.) London, March 9. The Albert Medal has been awarded Trooper James Werner Magnusson, a New Zealander (Mounted Rifles). Ou the occasion of the sinking of a transport he dived into a rough sea and swam to the assistance of an injured soldier, placed him in a boat, and returned to the sinking ship and rejoined his unit.
