RED TRIANGLE DAY
The Red Triangle clock-, at thc Bank of New Zealand' Corner, will he officially set going at noon to-day by the Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke, M.P., C.M.G.). Boy Scouts will parade for the'occasion. A bugler will sound an appropriate call when the clock is started. After this ceremony the remaining dress circle and reserved stalls seats for the Waller Red Triangle night on Monday will be auctioned by Mr. S. George Nathan; The whole of the proceedings will be kineinatographed and shown to-lnorro> night. The ceremony of opening the new diving-pier at Island- Bay will be performed by the Mayor, aiid will mark the beginning of the beach gala in aid of the Red Triangle fund. Mr. It. A. ■\Vright, M.P., and Mr. Martin Luckie, of the Baths Committee of tho council, will assist. Associated with them will be the officers of the gala, of whom Mr. C. C. Odlin is president. The Red Triangle canvassing committee will bo giad of the loan of motor-cars to expedite their work. . ' In yesterday's report of subscriptions to the Red Triangle Day fund the headquarters of A. S. Peterson and Co. was wrongly given as Dnnedin. ■ This should have benn Wellington.
