An important business deal waß comjplet'ed yesterday, the business of Malifroy and Co., timber merchants, being 'purchased by Sydney and Auckland gentlemen for a substantial figure. The 'purchase covers the. well-known Three(Mile Mill, with largo timber areas on ■freehold and Crown lands. The firm of jStewartand Chapman,. Bawmillers, Jchanged hands also. It has been concerted into a limited liability company. The areas affeoted include, the mill and .'an area of rimu and large timber lareas. south of the Mikonui River, over '■which the firm, assisted by the County (Council, is erecting a traffic bridge.
