Humours were prevalent in Christchurch on Monday that enemy seaplanes had been reported Hying over iNelson, says the i J rcss.'' Inquiries were instituted by the Canterbury Headquarters Office ol' the Defence Department of the Group Cominandor at Nelson, which is in the Canterbury military district,- and ho reported that the only alleged witness of tho seaplanes was a lady who stated that she saw two risG from the sea and disappear among the clouds. As the result of his investigations tho Group Commander seriously discounted tho story as improbable.
