FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT i P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for strong southed Iy winds northward of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura, and freshening north, cast winds elsewhere. Expect cloudy and misty woather, and rain probable generally -with rivers flooded in the East Ooast of the North island. Tho barometer is unsteady in the north', and has a falling tendency in the south. The centre of a cyclonic disturbance Iβ still in oyidenco north of the Bay ot Plenty, whilo another disturbance Iβ apparently developing to the westward of the South Island. Strong south-easterly windn have ruled in, and northwarde of Cook htrart, and heavy rain has fallen, eepecially on the East Coast of the North Island. D! 0. BATES, Director.
