ORGAN RECITAL

At the weekly organ recital in the Town Hall last night tho City Organist (Mr. Bernard Pago) played several numbers that have already been appreciatively received by the music-loving section' of the community. Tho programme was a very attractive >oiio and was enjoyed thoroughly by the audience. It opened with Mendlessolm'a overture to "The Hebrides," an impressive composition in sombre mood. Then came Dvorak's Humoreske, Op.. 101 (No. 7), in lighter vein.' The popular Fantasie in A (Cesar Franck) was followed by Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor ("Dorain"), and .the prelude to Act 1 of "Tristan and Isolde" (Wagner). The concluding number was Harw'ood's "Ditnyramb." Mr. Page as usual played with rare skill and judgment.
