JUPP'S BRASS BAND
ANNUAL MEETING
, I Tho thirtieth annual meeting or : Jupp's Brass Baud (now tho Wellington Patriotic Society Band) was held in the band room last night. Mr. A\. f Jupp, sen., presided, and there were 30 members present. The election of oftkics resulted as under:—Patron, tho lit. Hon. Sir Joseph Ward; president Mr. J. Macintosh; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. C. C. Odiiu.. J. Hislop, J. Castle, G. Frost, Wallace, and Beck; secretary, Mr. AV. Lang; treasurer, Mr. AV. Jupp, sen. Two of the bund's members were honoured in attaining 18 years' service. Mr. ; \V. Jupp, son., in presenting Mr. , Frank Perriot and Mr. Geo. Pernot | with a geld ring on behalf of tho hand, referred to the good service of both men as bandsmen. Mr. Jupp has been for 30 years a. consistent performer of that well-known band. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to I tho retiring secretary, Mr. E. Aheam, j for his valuablo services during the j past season. : I
