-. «—. —. ROY Mi HOTEL DESTROYED By Telecraph.—Press Association. Blenheim, March -1. .Tho Royal Hotel, of twenty-seven rooms, owned by Mr. A. D. Kennedy, Wellington, and leased bj Mr. Robert Cann, was totally destroyed by fire on Saturday night. It started in an upstairs bedroom. The building was an old one,, and burned fiercely. Insurances:—On the building, £400 in the National office. It is understood there is also £1000 in the London and Liverpool office, £410 on furniture and effects, £60 on tho billiard tiiblo, and £30 on the piano in ' tho National office, and £510 on the stock in the Sun office. Tho personal effects were insured for £150 in Hie North British.
