LICENSING COMMITTEES
WELLINGTON AND, HUTT. The Wellington and Hutt Licensing Committees have been elected unopposed. The members are:— Wellington.—Messrs. 11. Fletcher, G. Tiller, G. Petherick, and W. J. Helyer. Mr. W. 6. Eiddell, S.M., is chairman. Hutt—Messrs. J. Cotton, W. T. Cotton, J. W. M'Ewan, W. Wearno, and M. W. Welch.
COMPROMISE SAVES ELECTION IN DUNEDIN. By Teleeraph-Presß Association. Dunodin, March 2. To avoid the expenses of the election of licensing committees a compromise was effected, and three moderates and two temperance candidates have been elected unopposed for Dunediu City, and also for Dunedin South.
