Ab the invifalioii or thn Minister of Defence (Sir .Innuw M'on) a party of neivepapor proprietors, pressmen, printers, and visitinu; friends went by train to Trenlhnm CJunip yesterday on a visit of inspection. The party was received by Colonel Gibbon, Chief of the Grneral Stall', and Colonel 11. R. Potter, Gump Commandant, and. kliiu. A tour of tho camp was made, and tho visitors were privileged lo witness an extensive- exhibition of tho training of hcldiers in the limiting. A. draft performed evolutions of a varied order, and 'the work done gavo some 'indication of Ihp thoroughness of Hid knowledge imparted to .thn men while m onin'p. Tin) physical litiiess of the soldims was particularly nnd the opinion was expressed that a liner body of soldiers could not, ho found in any part of the world. The many build-, niHs in the camp area wore inspected, and at considerable length tho prooessos of tho, work of tho camp wero explained by Colonel Pottnr and his dflicora, The visitors wero entertained .ifliincVon by tho Camp Commandant and staff. 'After tho toast of tho King hod been honoured, Mr. CJeorgo Kenwiek, on behalf of thn Newspaper Proprietors' Association, Mr. F. Pirani, for the Press Association, and Mr. •Tamos Gamble for.the Master Printers' Association, expressed the thanks of tho various bodies named for the courtesy and kinduoss shown by all jo the visitors. All were impressed with the pi-noral excellence, completeness, and cleanliness' of the eiCmp, and loud in their praiso of what they had seen. Coionel Potter■ informed the . visitors that any pressman was invited lo make on inspection of tho camp nt any time. There was nothing to hide, and fair criticism was always welcomed.
