—« FORECAST AND SUMMARY . . AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for strong southeasterly winds north of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura, and moderate southerly breezes elsowherc. Eipect changeable and showery conditions on tho northern and East Coast districts of the North Mand, but fair to cloudy weather •elsewhere, and little- change in atmospheric pressure at present. Barometric pressure has increased one inch, in tho paet forty-eight ho'urs, and is now above normal everywhere. Strong south, winds have ruled, with cool, changeable, and showery conditions. D. 0.
