MONTHLY MEETING,

Messrs. C. E. Daniell (chairman), M. Cohen, R. Fletcher, J. G. Cobhe, A. M'Farlane, J. W. M'Bwan, M. Welch, A. H. Hindmarsh, R. A. Wright, J. G. Harkness, E. E. Sinclair, C. M'Arthiir, and W. AVallis were present at tiie monthly meeting of the Wellington Harbour Board held last evening The finance statement gavo the following particulars of the board's credits and payments:—Bank pass books: Current accotmt, credit balance, £3-1,767 Ms. 6d.; imprest account, credit balance, £2466 14s. Bd.; on fixed deposit, £60,000. Payments: For accounts and wages, £24,108 13s. 9d.; for salaries for February. £943 13s. od.: total, £25,052 7s. 2d. ' The chairman reported as follows:— (1) That tho Comptroller and AuditorGeneral has returned the board'.-, accounts and balance-sheet for the year ended September 30, 1917, 'duly certified to as correct. (2) That the Public Trustees has forwarded a statement d the board's superannuation fund for the year ended December 31,1917. (3) That official information has now been rtoived of the death of S. A. Sharpo (of the board's permanent, staff) in action in Franco oh July 31, 1917.
