Mr. S.'E. M'oarthy,-6.M., presided at tho Magistrate's Court yesterday.
Anthony Quillan, a Eoainau on board an ovorsea vessel, 'was chargod with being fouod drunk in Lilmbton Quay, with using obscene, language \and with rCßißtinc Constable Williams. Wo pleaded ciiilty to all three charges. Fpr using obscene language he viis flned\£lo, with the altcrnativo pf serving a month in gaol, and was ordered to be handed over to tho captain of his vessel on payment, .of the fine. On the other two cjiargen he was convicted and discharged.
Three seamen, named Patrick Xpnaghiin, Toui Itati, and Alexander M'Loan, belonging to an oversea Toiieel, were charged with uniiiK threateutnff behaviour in Waterloo Quay, wherdby a hreaohof the peace was occasioned.'. l According.to .the evidenco Jfati. and MTjcan wero engaged in a "mix-up/' and ltoiiagli?!n came along :to separate them.
