ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the Newspaper Proprietors' Association was opened iu the Chamber of Commerce, Wellington, on Monday evening, and continued yesterday. There were present: Messrs P. The president (Mr. Selig in his openine address referred to the war, and expressed the wish that peace would be speedily brought about with honour to our colours. Weston, and A: Sando; newsprint paper committee, Messrs. G. Fonwick, L. Blundell, H: Horton. P. Selig, T. C. List, A. M'Nicol, and H, V. Duigan; secretary and treasurer, Mr. L. J. Berry; auditor, Mr. R. B. Bell.
V.otes of thanks were passed-to Sir James Allen, Minister of Defence, for invitation to visit Trentham and h'eathcr'ston ; also to the nrcsident ami secretary and Mr. I<\ Pirani, tlie association's representative in labour arbitration matters., and to those institutions which had extended hospitality to visiting delegates.
