FIRE AT HASTINGS
A BOARDINGHOUSE DESTROYED. Hy Telegraph—Press Association. Hastings, February 26. Tlio Manor Boardinghouse, of 28 rooms, owned by W. H. Compton and occupied by Murray and Spalding, was totally destroyed at 1 o'clock this morning. Nothing was saved, all the inmates escaping in scanty apparel. The insurances are:—On iho building, £750 in the State office; on the furniture, £400 in the Northern ofiicc. It was a wooden building, erected 22 years ago.
