It shows that Turkey is actually starving, and Germany and Austria suffering horrible privations. Better conditions prevail in Bulgaria and Hungary. Tho Austrians and Germans are undergoing permanent physical deterioration because of the lack of food. The death-rate is increasing alarmingly. Youths and labourers are only halfnourished. Germany's transportation facilities have broken down, and as. a result hunger is daily spreading, and the authorities are not yet able to relieve the situation.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
