The Sydney "Daily Telegraph," commenting on the race for the Futurity Stakes, states that, although defeated, Deseit Gold was not disgraced. The Dannevirke Meeting will be held on tho Tamaki Racecourse to-morrow. Tho fixture is only a one-day affair, and in consequence the fields are not aB large as hr.vc been the case at re'eent meetings. Weights for the Napier Park Meeting will be issued on Friday. Tho Newmarket Handicap will be run at Flemington on Saturday. Desert Gold is not engaged in the race, but sue will take part in the Esaendon Stakes, one mile and a quarter, weight-for-a'ge. .
