CEIEF JUSTICE MAKES ALTERATIONS. Tlie Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout) delivered judgment on Saturday sn the action arising out of the will of the late Andrew Casey, of Hamilton. Under the will deceased's widow was nilowed £3 per week and life interest in thf!/, homestead and other property. The eiiiest child was left £10D0, and of-£ISBO contracted by tho second son was' forgiven. Each ot ten other children was granted sums or either £200 or £800. The whole of the residue of I,he est.ato, the total value of which was £25,933, was left to the Roman Catholio. Church. Application was made under the Families Protection Act for better provision for the ten children. By agreement with the Church, the widow's allowance was increased to £4 per week. His Honour, in giving judgment, said that none of the children was strong, aud some would not be able to maintain themselves even with the help of the legacy. Certain fixed gifts to the Church nt Hamilton should stand, and the increase to the widow should come out of the residue. Each of the ten children should reco'.ve £300, in addition to the sums allowed tinder the will, and accumulated interest amounting to £800 should be divided amongst the claimants. Costs were not' iixed immediately.
