(Continued from page 2.) The Late Dr. Elsie Inglis. News lias just come to hand regarding the funeral of Dr. Elsie Inglis, the founder of the Scottish Women's War Hospitals (states a writer in the- "Sydney Morning Herald' , ). The funeral took place in St. Giles's Cathedral, Edinburgh, and was attended by representatives of hospitals, committees ol various suffrage societies, tho Serbian Minister, as representing the King of Serbia, and tho Crown Princu, members of the Serbian medical staff and Serbian Ifelief Fund, and 25 Serbian boys, who are pupils at Heriot's School, Edinburgh. At the Dean Cemetery, where the interment took place, the coffin was carried to the graveside by the Serbian representatives, and tho Bev. Dr. Kelniari, St. George's United Free Church, conducted tho committal service. The following message was received from the Queen by Mrs. Shaw Maclaren, sister of Dr. liiglis:—"The. Queen desires mo to convey to your sister and you in. expression of her heartfelt sympathy with you in tho great loss you have sustained in the untimely death of Dr. Elsie Inglis. Her Majesty fully realises the useful work performed by your late sister in connection with the Scottish Women's Hospitals, while the splendid services rendered by her to Serbia can never bo forgotten. The Queen feels for you both very much in your sad bereavement.—Yours truly, Edward Wellington."
