SWIMMING

SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIPS. _ Mr. A. Farnell, secretary of tho Wellington Centre of the -New Zealand Swimming Association leaves for Wanganui this morning to attend the swimming carnival to bo. held there tomorrow evening, at which tho schools and intermediate swimming championships will be decided. He will be accompanied by Janio Post (Wellington Girls' College), mid Loo Coogan (Newtown Marist Brothers' School), who will represent Wellington in the schools' championships, and Maude Allen aiifl Edith Ruckmaster (the girl representatives of Wellington in tho intermediate events). Dnvid Murrcll, who will compete in the youths' intermediate championships, is already in Wanganui. The carnival will take place in the Collegiate Schools' baths (fresh water), by electric light.
