Passengers carried 27,588,210 26,904,338 Car miles run ... 2,512,404 2,579,886 The above figures show that whilst tho working expenditure has increased by £J0,796 on what tho amount was last year, the increase in revenue is only, shown at £8122. In other words, tho working expenses have increased to the extent of about £1000 a month, but the increase in revenue has not kept pace with that everswelling total. The figures for January were hardly at good as they might have been owing to broken weather. TRACK LIGHTING AND POWER.
