TO-NIGHT'S ORGAN RECITAL
An organ recital will lie given this evening by the City Organist (Mr. Bernard F. Page) at 8.15 o'clock in the. Town Hail. A work of special interest is to be performed for the first time in Wellington. It was written by Alex Guilmant, the distinguished organist i-nd composer. The work is _ the Second Symphony for Organ by this composer, and is classified as the Bth Sonata, for Organ, by Guilmant. It is the finest • work for tho organ written by this great French organist, and one that is sadly neglected. Aliother item of special interest will be the Peer Gynt Suite, by Grieg, a work which is now a universal favourite. An Andante by Wolstenholme—the beautiful slow movement by Debussy's String Quartet, also the Prelude, Fugue and .Variation by Cesar Franck, complete a programme that is expected to attract a large audience.
