ALLEGED ABDUCTION
CHARGE AGAINST A TAXIDRIVER. • By 'Telegraph-Press Association. Wanganui, February 18. At .'the Magistrate's Court, Alien Hector Loveridge, taxi-driver, a married man, was charged with the abduction of a girl under eighteen years, of agff. The girl's mother said her daughter left home to go to a bocke' meeting, but did not return. A earlythree, weeks later she got a letter from her daughter saying "Good-bye for ever. Don't look for me." As the result of certain information, witness by appointment met the accused and her daughter'near Wangamu, but the after -threatened to drown herself rather than return homo. The girl eventually returned homo in a preenant condition. The ease is proceeding.
