NORTH OF ENGLAND ATTITUDE.
" * London, February 17. Tho York, Manchester, and Newcastle committees of the Federation of Engineering and Shipbuilding Trades have passed a resolution repudiating the Clyde committees',' resolution.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
[A conference of tho Clyde committees of the Engineering and Shipbuilding Federation met at Glasgow in January and considered the new manpower proposals. 1 ; It was resolved to instruct the executive council to request the Government to withdraw the neWj Man-Power Bill before the end of January. Failing this they would ask tho Clyde members to down tools. The conference- also asked the Government to call an international conference to discuss peace.!
