MR. HOLLAND'S WADESTOWN MEETING.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Your acoount of Mr. Holland's Wadestown meeting is hardly fair to the residents of Wadest-own You state that the audience was "fairly large" and "he was given a quiet hearing." The meeting was the largest of its kind ever seen in Wadestown, the hall being packed to the doors, and a considerable number were unable to_ gain admission. Mr. Holland's denunciation of the administration of the Government was received in a most enthusiastic manner. The meeting was a clear indication that the feeling in that part of the electorate is dead against the National Government.—3. am, etc., l'. PARLANE, Chairman of the Meeting. Cecil Road, Wadestown, February 15, 1918.
[Tlio ( meeting was held in a small church schoolroom, and ■ though the audience filled the room the total number of people present was comparatively small. The term used by our reporter, "a fairly large audience," fairly described it. The fact that a good number of those present caught the town-bound car aftor the meeting rather suggests that a section of the audience was not Wadestoivn, residents, but supporters of Mr. Holland who had oome from other parts to swell the- attendance.]
