OAR.D DIVOECE CASE. The hearing of the'petition of Henr.v Edward Card for the dissolution of hia marriage with Lillian Jane Card on the ground of misconduct, Robert Scott being named as co-respondent, was continued before His Honour Mr. Justice Herdman in the Supreme Court yesterday. Petitioner claimed £1000 damages from Scott. Sir John Findlay, K.C., with him Mr. P. W. Jackson, appeared for the petitioner; Sir. M. Myers for the respondent, and Mr. C. P. Skerrett, K.C., with him Mr. D. S. Smith, for the co-respondent. The jury were in retirement about an hour. They answered tho questions put to them by tho Court as indicated hereunder; —

Whether misconduct was committed? . , Whether Scott committed misconduct with respondent? —"Yes." Was petitioner guilty of cruelty?— "No." XT Was he habitually cruel?—"rso. _ Did petitioner contribute to his wife's misconduct? —"No." Fivo hundred pounds damages were awarded to petitioner against co-respon-dent. . . . The matter of the decree nist is *o be decided this morning. PRIVY COUNCIL APPEALS AN AUSTRALIAN CASE. London, February 13. The case of Fowler vereus the English, Scottisli, and Australian Bank, an appeal from New South Wales, wbb dismissed with costs by the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
