RUMOURED RESIGNATIONS AND CHANGES
SIR WILLIAM ROBERTSON SAYS HE WILL NOT RESIGN THE BLOW IN THE WEST ENEMY STILL MUSTERING The war news to-day is again scanty. Advice from the Press Association states:—"Practically no Eastern Extension Press cables a.ro arriving. The reason is not stated." There is a good deal of general speculation about the enemy's plans in the West, most of the correspondents being impressed by tho gathering might of tho Germans. The political situation in England is again involved. Mr. Lloyd George hints of resignations. Sir William Robertson has been asked to resign, but declines, we aro told, to desert his post. The recent rumours of what was allegedly happening at Versailles were ventilated in the House, but very littlo was dropped to reward the.enterprise of the interpolators. '
