Beef prices were about 10s. to los. easier than last week. Prime bullocks, £20 to £21 17s. 6d.; medium to good, £18 to £19 los.; -others,. £15. 10s. to £17 10s.; prime heifers, £15 10s. to £16 10s.; good, £13 10s. to £M 10s.; others, £11 .to £12 10s.
Sheep (2116 penned).—The offering included a big proportion of extra prime wethers. Prices opened at about last week's closing rates, but declined Is. to Is. 6d. towards the finish. Extra prime wethers, 435.; prime.,' 38s. _to 415.; medium to good, 345. 6d. to 375.; light and unfinished, 30s. to_33s.; extra heavy ewes, 415.; prime 35s f - to 395.; medium, 31s. to 345.; light and aged, 255. to 275. Lambs—Two hundred and fifty-eight were penned. The entry exceeded requirements, and prices were about Is. lower than last week. -Best, 28s. to 30s. 6d.; good, 235. 6d. to 265.; unfinished, 275. 6d.
