APPOINTMENTS AND PROMOTIONS. Tho followins appointments, promotions, retirements, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the Now Zealand Staff Corps and Territorial Force have been approved:— Captain (temporary major) W. M. Turnbull, N.Z. Staff' Corps, relinquishes his appointment as Infantry .Instructor in the N.H. Expeditionary Force Training Camps, and the temporary rank of major whilst so employed. The undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Medical Corps are appointed members of a Special District Medical Board:-Captains A. L. Christie, M.8., 8.5.. A. ('. Owen, M.D.. 8.5.. Edin., ,T. T. W. Wilkin, M.8., 8.5.. N.Z. y.X.C.S., Edin., nnd T. A. Milroy,' M.R.C.S., Eng., L.B-.C.F., Lond. 12tb (Ot ago) Mounted Rifles. Lieutenant D. Bell to be captain. Nevr Zealand Garrison Artillery. Lieutenant, (temporary captain) G. Finlay, N.Z. Expeditionary Force, is struck off the strength and is absorbed into the establishment with his origimii rank and seniority therein, as lieutenant. Now Zealand Medical Corps. Captain W. J?. Willis, M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., N.Z. Expeditionary Force, is struck 'off the strength and is absorbed with bis original rank aul seniority as "tt A. V. Short, M.C., M.B. N.Z. Expeditionary Force, is slruck off the strength and is absorbed with his original rank and soniority as captain. A M. Ross, M.8., 8.5., N.Z., to ,be lieutenant. New Zealand Chaplains'-Department. The Rev. Canon F. Mayne, Chaplain to the Forces, 3r.d Class, retires. Theßov.E.l. M'Farlantl, Chaplain to the Forces, 3rd Class, retires. The Rev. W. Walker, Chaplain to (he Forces, 4th'-Class, N.Z. Expeditionary Force, is struck off the strenßth and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority, as Chaplain to tho I'orces, 4th Glass. , „ G Inglis (Salvation Army) to be Chaplain'to tlie Forces. 4th Class (temporary A H. Charker (Salvation Army) to be Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Glass. Now Zealand Army Nursing Service. Staff Nurse M. R. Herbert from the Retired List to be staff nurse. J. L. Jarrett to be staff nurse.
