BATHING FATALITY. By Telegraph-Press Association. Christchuroh, February 11. Frederick James Swanston, a married man, 'aged 44 years, with five children, was drowned while bathing at New Brighton Beaoh yesterday, Iris wife and children being spectators oi the fatality. Another man, named Crawford, who was with him, had a narrow escape, requiring assistance to enable him to get ashore. DEATH IN THE BUSH. Ashfiurton", February 11. Robert Todd, aged 67, a married man with a family, was accidentally, killed at Mount Somers on Friday by a dray overturning. He wont ir.fco the bush for a load of timber, and as ho did not return search was inado oil Saturday, and his body was found under the overturned dray. FOUND DROWNED. Auckland, February 11. William Styles, aged 63, who d;bappeared from Frankton on Wednesday, was found drowned in the Manukau , Harbour, with his feet tied together. KILLED BY A.TKAIN. Cisborne, February 11. A man named Patrick Green, aged 66, a labourer, was killed by a train at Ormond on Saturday night. He -was married, with a family, and an old resident of the district.
