SERIOUS TRAP ACCIDENT
AT KELBURN. A rather serious trap accident happened near the Victoria University at 11.15 a.m. yesterdav. A high dogcart, driven by Miss Trotter of Karori, in which were seated Mrs. W. I*. HiU (Ireth, jini., of Karori, and Mr. Shaw, was turning a comer on its way-to town when the horse swerved, overturning the vehicle and hurling the occupants on to the road. Miss Trotter, was considerably cut about by the fall.! Mrs. flildreth Mistained a bad shaking, and her baby'was cut on the bead and had the skin grazed off its arms. Mr. Shaw suffered a rather badlyliruiscd thigh. The injured people were helped into the residence of Mr. Justice Herdman, where every attention, was given them. Dr. Shand was summoned, and after dressing the wounds that needed attention, be ■ motored the party home to Karon , -. After the accident the horse took fright* and dashed along Salamanca, Road, dpwn Mount Street, and .finally pulled up m Woolcombe Street. The dogcart whs smashed to pieces, but the horse was uninjured.
