WELLINGTON NORTH ELECTION
$ ENROL TO-BAY. This is the last day for enrolment on the roll of Wellington North, so that those electors cf'this constituency who have not yet taken steps to see that they are enrolled must do this to-day if they wish to have a vote in the election. On Monday the writ will he issued for the by-electicn, and from that time the rolls will be closed. Votters may conveniently fill m their forms at the office of Mr. Luke's committee, in Lambton Quay, opposite Kirkcaldio s establishment.
A meeting of the committee and all those who are willing to assist m the return of Mr. J. P. Luke will be held at h's committee room, Lambton Quay, opposite the Midland Hotel, on Monday evening at 8 o'clock. . Mr Brandon, announces in our advertising columns his definite intention of going to the poll, and that there is no qhancc of his withdrawing. Hm statement will doubtless be read with interest by electors. The nrst meeting of his campaign will be held at the Kelbum Kiosk on Tuesday evenin" at 8 o*clock. . , ~ Mr H E. Holland, labour candidate for Wellington North, has opened a central committee room in the Grown Theatre Building, where the enrolment of electors proceeded briskly last night. . By advertisement in this issue all members of Mr. Holland s committee wid supporters..of Labour generally are requested to attend the committee room to-day at 2 p.m..to assist in the distribution of Utoratuie. A series of open-air. and indoor rnoetih<rs are being arranged for Mr. Holland, and other Labour speakers, and will be advertised during the next few days. _____
