A large audience is expected to gether at the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall this evening, when Malini, the "Napoleon of magic,"-will make his first appearance before a New Zealand audience. HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. A lively and' interesting programme is being submitted nightly at His Majesty s Theatre. The chief attraction ib ino lam Stanhope Eevuo Company, which is rich in comedians, pretty girls, and catchy tunes. Other good turns aro piovicted hy the JlacLeans (gifted sketch artists), who figuro in a bit of clever nonsense, entitled "Ootzey"; Kelly and Drake, Brown and Newman, and Walter M'Kay. There wilt be a matinee at 2.50 p.m. to-day, and a performance in the evening. KING'S THEATRE. Marriage and its problems form tho main threads of the plot of "HusbarW and Wife," the World film drama to.be screened at the King's Theatre to-day. Ethel Clayton is in the lead, supported tague Love. Holbrook Blinn, Dion Titheradge, of "The Whip" fame, and little Madge Evans. The settings and photography are said to be of particular excellence. EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. . Bessie Love makes a return to the screen in the latest Triangle drama, "The Sawdust Ring," the star feature to be screened at Everybody's Theatre to-day. She is said to bo charming in every scene, and full of quaint and clever humour. Ino story concerns the adventures of a little girl who runs away and joins a circus. The final instalment of "The Secret Kingdom" will. also be showri'. EMPRESS THEATRE. In "The Mother' of Dartmoor," the star feature to be shown at the Empress Theatre, Elizabeth Risden U the star, and her acting is described as wonderful, .the story concerns the clover schemes of a .mother of a wilful youth to save himfrom tho perils of youth and make him a worthy man. In addition will be shown-'Douglas Fairbanks in "Manhattan Madness." "LOOK WHO'S HERE." : Mr., Jack Waller's "Look Who's Hero" attraction, which commences a return season at tho Grand Opera House on Saturday next, is already favourably l.ue'vu to Wellington amuie.jient lovers. . '!iio nu gramme embraces comic opera, giwid opera, pantomime, diama, vaudeville, bcr« lesnue, and all tho various classes of entertainment ever presented on the stage. Tho company is very strong on the judical side, yet Mr. Waller has items of a highly humorous nature vnieu aro built on burlesque lines, consequently the audience is at one moment sitting back to the enjoyment of a'high-class concert, and at the next is roused by somo merry quip or potted,'drama. The Purple Band is in itself an attraction, and is augmented by the full instrumental force of the company, assisted by four grand pianos which are played simultaneously. Harmony and dancing have their respective places on the list, and the whole entertainment is bached by a chorus that knows its busiuoss. In. all, the company numbers 25, and each is an artist in his or her particular line. By special request the company will include in the opening programmeUhe burlesque on the Hungarian Band, presented by Jack Waller, I red. Dennett, and Wylie Watson. The box plans for the first four nights of the season arc to be open .at the Bristol from Wednesday morning next.
