Yesterday in Wellington was dull but oppressively hot in a muggy ki of way! Thero was a light breeze, bub. the hot ground liad heated the air, andthe wind brought 110 relief. \\am wonthcr and dull skies seom to ha\e been fairlv general; scattered showers are reported. Present indications aro for freshening northerly winds andli cloudy and misty conditions generally, with 'rain following in many parts ot the Dominion.
