Addingtou market yarding of fat cattle ami- fat slioop were smaller and thoss of fat lambs and store sheep wero larger than in the previoiib week. There was. a full yarding of store cattle, but a modcrato entry of pigs. There was a large attendance, especially of store sheep buyers. Fat cattlo wero firmer at tho opening of the sale, and eased in the middle of it, but recovered again at tlio end, on the whole being irregular. The. average prices were about tho samo as in the previous week. 'Che 6tdro sheep market was easier, lambs easing off in some cases 2s. per head l , and bo.th wethers and ewes showed some decline. Fat iambs were firm at late rates, graziers taking most of the unfinished lines to go "u rape. Fat sheep were very firm, especially wethers, whicli showed a 'listinet rise. There was a fair demand for store cattle at advanced latos. Dairy cows sold well, as did all classes of pigs. Quotations:—Store sheep: Two-tooth ewes, 275. -Id. to 375. 7d.; two and four-tooth ewes, .'IBs.; six and eighttooth ewes, 295. lOd. to 38s. Gd.; foundmouth ewes, 28s. to 325^1x1.; two-tooth wethers. 235. 4d. to 275.; four and six-tooth wethers, 31s. lOd.; »npo lambs, 18s. to 265.: mixed sex lambs, 12s. 4d. t.o 17s. lOd.; wether lambs, 15s. to 17s. !)d. BURNSI.DE stock sales By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, February 6. At Burnside, 196 fat cattle were penned, a large proportion being cows and heifers. - Tho quality was good, and the market very steady. Prices wero firm at last week's closing rates. Quotations:—Extra prime bullocks, £23; prime, £J9 to £21; medium, £18 to £20; others, £16 upwards; prime cows and heifers, £1.5 10s. to £17; medium, £13 10s. to £15; others, £13 upwards. ■ Sheep: 876 were penned. The quality was medium. Owing to the short supply, the demand was keen, but prices were very erratic. The sale opened with prices at 3s. 6d. to 4s. 6d. above last week's rates, but towards the finish values receded to about last week's level. Best wethers, 395. to 425.; extra, 445.; medium, 355. to 375.; others, 325. upwards: prime.ewes, 365. to 395.; extra, 445. 6d.; medium, 31s. to 345.; others, 265. upwards. Lambs: 100 penned. The entry was insufficient, and' consequently prices showed a considerable increase. Extra prime, 325.; prime, 275. to 305.; medium, 245, to 265. Pigs: i A large yarding. Prices were slightly easier for fats and stores.
