PEOPLE'S DAY FURTHER LIST OF AWARDS (By Tilograoh-Sneoial Correspondent.) • Felldlng, February 6. There-was a very, good attendance on tho occasion of People's Day at tho Feildjpg A. and P. Show to-day, the local crowd having been supplemented by show enthusiasts from Palmerston North, who camo by special train. The competitions and the dog trials excited a good deal of interest. The judging was continued,. with tho following results:— Pigs. There was a big entry of pigs, and some very fine, animals were Bhown. F. "W. Fitzpatrick annexed all the main, prizes,'including the championships for Berkshire boar, Yorkshire boar and sow ; and first lor sow and litter most suited for factory purposes, not to exceed eight weeks of age. Sir. Fitzpatrick secured- Messrs. Hodder and Tolley's special for obtaining most points in all pig classes. Horses. 10-stono Hack—H. Hassall's Mickey Free, 1. 13-stono Hack—J. Brice's Bill, 1. 11-st. Haok-H. HassaU's Captain Glossop, 1 and,champion; J. It. M'Donnell's entry, 2; J. Brice's Hailstorm, 3. Lady's Hack—H. HassaU's Captain Glossop, 1; J. It. M'Doniiell, 2; F. M'Lean, 3.
