IMPORTANT RULING BY THE PRIVY COUNCIL. (Rec. February 6, 7.50. p.m.) London, February 5. The Judicial Committee of the Privy Council has allowed the appeal of the Hamburg-Amerika Shipping Line against the Prize Court's judgment confiscating two liners that were seined at Falmouth yi 1915. The Court had based its judgment on the Hague Convention, and held that under tbo circumstances attending the seizure such vessels were only liable to> detention during tbo war. Tho effect of this judgment is to reservo all rights for decision till the war concludes and the German Government's views regarding the construction of tho Convention aro ascertainable.—Rcuter.
