■ fr ANNUAL MEETING .AT MASTER- : TON. , The. annual meeting of the Church of England Men's Society of the Wellington diocese opened in Masterton on Monday, the Rev. J. Walker, M.A., vicar of Masterton, occupying the chair. The report and balance-shoet showed the society to bo in a satisfactory position. The following diocesan council was electedClofgy: Revs. 11. Watson. W. Fancourt, J. Walker, and J. G. Castle. Laity: Messrs. Barltrop, Innos, Henderson, Claridgo, Carter, Evans, and Deslanders. At the evoniiig session the Rev. J. G. Castle, of Island Bay, delivered an interesting address- on the subject of church schools, and urged tho C.E.M.S. to do its utmost to assist these institutions.
