This evening at the Gymnasium Hall, Y.M.C.A., Willis Street, Professor Thomas C. Trueblood, of Michigan University, U.S.A., will give tho first of his two recitals in this city. He will take for the subject of his recital "Hamlet." One of tho southern papers, speaking of tho professor's rendering of "Hamlet" last week, said: "Professor Trueblood selected the principal characters and passages of the play, and kept his audience intensely interested for two hours. . . . With voico and gesture he acted tho parts of tho characters and was most effective in the ver.v dramatic and tragic scenes." Tho tickets are said to be selling rapidly for the recitals in Wellington, and they may be obtained at the" Y.M.C.A. office, Willis Street.
