HIS MAJESTFS THEATRE. One of the features of a good vaudeville programmo at Mis Majesty's Theatre laßt night was the reappearance of Mr. Lcb Wharton, a comedian whose coon songß never- fail in popularity. Mr. Wharton's ■ resonant voice and infectious smilo proved to have lost none of their power to please, and tho negro dialect jokes with which .he interlarded his Bongs had all tho audienco laughing. Mr. Ted Mac Lean and Miss Genovievo Leo, who are closing thoir Wellington season this week, presonted another of their condensed plays. It was a littlo oomedy, in which Mr. Mac Lean. by. means of a series of lightning changes, took tho paits of two brothers whose similarity of feature was offset by a marked dissimilarity of manners and morals. Tho dual role was cleverly sustained, and with the able assistance of Miss Leo. tho American actor scored another distinct , success. Brown and Newman, the clover American comedy duo, appeared with a new assortment of Bongs and jests, ana had tho support of little Miss Brown in presenting a turn that was thoroughly Pleasiug. Another pair of comedians, Kelly nhd Drako. sang and "lettered" most entertainingly, and provided some norticularly clever grotesque dancing. Tho first part- of the new r.Togramme was completed by Mr; Walter M'Kay. who produced sweet music from various stringed instruments, tho while lie jpked pleasantly. His work on the hnnin was particularly good. The second part of tho programme was occupied by. the Paul Stanhope Revue Oomnauy. which presented again the brisk musical medley, "Bokey Pokey" Mr. Paul Stanlinne, as Rnlko Murphy, piano mover, and Mr. Val Newman, as a landlord with liistrionio ambitions carried most oC tho burden of tho production and nrovided a great, deal of amusement,.. Thev were sumiorted by the Ginger Girls, who chorused brightly, and the Grafters' Quartet, who were refor some excellent, musical numbers. The introduc«d itons included several good sAlo«. The protratnine will be repeated nightly during the week.. KING'S THEATRE. Douglas Fairbanks is the hero in "Flirting With Fate," the star fcaturo now being screened at the King's Theatre. In addition is eKowh tho instalment of "I'll® ScxJrot Kingdom." • EMPRESS THEATRE Big attendances rule at the Empress Theatre. Tho star drama, "A Girl's Folly," featuring Robert Warwick, Juno Elvidge, and Doriß IConyon, telle tho story of a young woman aspirant for motionpicture celebrity. Barrio Marschei and "The Kid from Tiinaru" aro big favourites with patrons. MALINI, TEE MAGICIAN. Malini, Known as tho "Napoleon of Magicians," will make his first appearance in Wellington at the Concert Chamber of tho Town Hall on Saturday night. Malini is an adept in tho manipulation of cards and a hundred other articles, and lie works right amongst his audience. This factor makes his marvellous sleight-of-hand doubly clever, as patrons aro in a position to see every movement of tho porfornier. Malini is also said to give surprising demonstrations of personal magnetism. Tho novelty and cleverness of the entertainment is expected to secure for Malini a very successful season. Tho soason is limited to one ween, and seats may now lift booked for any evening at the Bristol.
