Fears are entertained as to the fato of the Bteamer Marjorie, which, with a crew of fifteen, left Adelaide in company with the Glaucus on January 26. The Glaucus arrived at Newcastlo on Friday, but nothing has been heard of tho Marjorie.—Press As6n. MORE FLOODS IN QUEENSLAND. Brisbane, February, 4. A message from Proserpine ''states that a. record flood and cyclone have been experienced there, causing enormous damage, but no casualties. Tho Fiteroy is now falling.—Prass Assn. LOCAL RELIEF FUND OPENED. His Worship the Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke) has received the following cablegram from the Mayor of Brisbane:— "Disastrous floods Central and Northern districts Queensland. Relief fund opened. Will you kindly donations? Please communicate other cities. (Signed) Hetherington, Mayor." Mr. Luke has opened a list in Wellington and has beaded the list with a donation of £5. He will bo pleased to receivo donations.
