FIVE-SHILLING NOTES
STATEMENT BY MR. BONAR LAW. London, February 1. Mr. Bonar Law stated in the House that there was no intention at present of issuing five-shilling notes,_ but a small stock was being printed in readiness for a possible emergency in case of a shortage in tho supply of silver. —■ Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
