WOODEN SHIPS
BIG BRITISH ORDER FOR CANADIAN PACIFIC COAST. (Reo. February 2, 2.40 p.m.) Vancouver, February 1. The British Government has decided to embark on an extensive wooden shipbuilding industry on tho Pacific coast of Canada. Orders havo been given for forty ships for immediate construction. Other orders are pending for steel ships.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
