The Now Zealand Schools Championship swimming races are to bo held in Wanganui on February 21 and 23. Tho trials for tlicso races as far as tho Wellington Centre is concerned will take placo in tho Boys' Institute Tepid Baths on Wednesday week (Fobruary 12), when it is hoped that tlicro will bo a stroll!; muster of good material. The idea ot having the trials in tho tepid baths is because tho championship events will be swum in fresh water at Wanganui. On tho 12th there will be trials over tho 50, 75 and 100 yards distances for girls, and ovor tho 50, 100, and 150 yards distances for boys. The trials for representatives in tho intermediate championships (males and females mi:lor 17 years of age) will bo held in the tepid baths on tho samo evening.
